The Vision
My vision is that ideas emerge from the convergence of many systems. My assumption is that the ideas are better, as they are more useful in explaining the world, and as they offer practical ways to function in the world. Good ideas emerge through processes of interaction as they become better coordinated with each other and within ourselves, and as they are aligned with a grounding in an ever deepening core set of shared assumptions with others.
The Mission
This website aims to provide a vehicle to present my ideas as they emerge from interactions with the many people in my network who share a committed interest in developing these ideas, that then become larger than just my own thinking and become available to everyone.

What are these ideas?
1. Self / Systems
The core idea is Self/Systems. This is my nomenclature for understanding the self from systems theory. Here the self is understood as a construct in language, and systems theory refers to the systems as broadly as one can conceptualize them, from the smallest cell in a person's body, to one's family, to societies across the globe, to the solar system and beyond, and back again - all interconnected so that nothing, including me, exists independently.
2. Existential Anxiety
Accepting this core idea of Self/Systems generates a powerful anxiety because our very existence is challenged in the loss of individual autonomy.
3. Language
It is language that gives us the ability to manage this anxiety about our existence, because we can think and say that "I am me." Of course, this is a construct in language and an essential one for our survival that we use to interact with all the other systems all the time.
